Process
Nothing gets drafted until you have seen the price and the consequences in writing.
Four stages, in order. You can stop after any one of them, and the cost of the next is known before it begins.
The conversation
An hour, in person or by secure line. Bring nothing and prepare nothing. Often the thing that prompted the call is not the thing that needs attention.
The picture
Assets, entities, how everything is titled, who is named on the beneficiary forms, what is owed, and who the people are. This stage takes the longest and it is where the surprises turn up.
The written plan
A written recommendation covering structure, tax consequence, sequence, and a fixed fee. You read it, you ask about it, and you decide. No drafting happens before that.
Execution and review
Signing, then the part most plans never finish: actually moving the assets into the structure. Then reviews on a schedule, and whenever something changes at home.
